2. Purpose and acceptance

The website presents the website design and build services offered by PassoDigitale24, the demo projects, the certificates I have earned and the reference price lists. Its purpose is to inform and to promote.

Access is open and free of charge. By continuing to browse, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, I simply ask you not to use the website.

3. Intellectual property

Texts, images, graphics, source code, structure, the brand and the name PassoDigitale24 belong to Karina Nicoleta Berban, unless stated otherwise. They are protected by copyright law (L. 633/1941) and by trade mark law.

You can view and print the pages for personal use. You may not copy, republish, translate, resell or reuse them for commercial purposes without my written permission.

4. Permitted and prohibited use

You agree not to:

5. Work shown in the portfolio

The projects in the portfolio are demo projects: I made them to show the kind of work I do, and they were not commissioned by clients. Any names and brands that appear in them are there only as examples.

If you think something in the portfolio refers to your brand and you would rather it did not appear, write to me and I will remove it.

6. Prices, quotes and how the contract is formed

The prices shown in the pricing section are indicative and refer to the packages described. They carry no added VAT: I work under the Italian flat-rate tax scheme (art. 1, paragraphs 54-89, L. 190/2014), so I do not charge VAT on my invoices. They do not constitute an offer to the public under art. 1336 of the Italian Civil Code.

The actual price is confirmed in writing in a dedicated quote, after a free, no-obligation discovery call. The contract is only formed when the client accepts the quote in writing. Until then, neither party is bound.

Filling in a form on the website or asking for a quote does not create any obligation to buy and involves no charge.

Who I work with. I only accept work from VAT-registered businesses and professionals acting in the course of their business, trade or profession, and the invoice is made out to that business. I do not build websites for private individuals for personal use.

Amounts, instalments and payment deadlines are set out in the quote and in the service contract, and are agreed in writing before work starts. I do not fix them here because they change with the size of the project. What does not change is that you know them before you sign, not after. Every payment made is invoiced.

Payments are made by card, PayPal or bank transfer.

If, exceptionally, I accept work from a client acting as a consumer, the mandatory protections of the Italian Consumer Code (D.Lgs. 206/2005) still apply: timescales, how to withdraw and guarantees are set out in the quote and in the service contract.

7. Transparency about the use of artificial intelligence

I use artificial intelligence tools in my work, and I also used them to build this website. The EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, art. 50) asks for this to be stated clearly. I state it here, and directly on the content it refers to.

If you find AI-generated content that is not labelled, write to me and I will correct it.

8. Third-party links and services

The website contains links to external platforms: social networks, WhatsApp, and the bodies that issued my certificates. I have no control over those websites and I am not responsible for their content, their terms or their privacy policies. A link does not imply any endorsement or affiliation.

9. Website availability and liability

I look after the website with great care, but I cannot guarantee that it will work without interruption or be completely free of errors. Technical interruptions, maintenance, provider failures or causes beyond my control can make it temporarily unavailable.

The information published is descriptive and does not constitute personalised professional advice: every project is assessed individually. I am not responsible for decisions made solely on the basis of the website's content.

Nothing in this section limits liability where the law does not allow it, in particular for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, and towards consumers.

10. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms at any time, for example when the services offered or the law change. The valid version is the one published on this page, with the update date shown at the top. Changes do not affect contracts already concluded.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Italian law.

For disputes with clients acting as consumers, the mandatory jurisdiction of the court of the consumer's place of residence or domicile still applies, as provided for by the Italian Consumer Code.

In all other cases, the competent court is set out in the service contract. If it is not, the ordinary rules of the Italian Code of Civil Procedure apply.

Before going to court, though, I invite you to write to me: almost everything can be sorted out by talking.
