Which cookies and tracking tools the PassoDigitale24 website uses, and how to give or withdraw consent at any time, including from your browser.
On this page
This page lists the cookies and tracking tools used by the passodigitale24.it website, what they are for and how you can decide. It supplements the Privacy Policy, which covers everything else.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar tools (local storage, pixels, scripts) do similar things with different techniques. The law treats them the same way, and so does this page.
They fall into two groups, and that is the whole difference:
- Strictly necessary: they make the website work. They do not require consent.
- Measurement and marketing: they show how the website is used or show you advertising. They require your prior consent and stay off until you give it.
2. Strictly necessary tools
These are always on, because without them the website would not work properly.
| Name | Type | What it does | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
pd24_cookie_consent_v2 |
Browser local storage | Remembers the choice you made on this banner, so you are not asked again on every visit. It contains only the word “accepted” or “rejected”. | Until you clear the site data |
pd24_consenso_id |
Browser local storage | A random code your browser generates when you first choose. It is not linked to a name, an email or anything else: it only exists so your choice can be found in the log below. You can read it in the “Cookie preferences” panel. | Until you clear the site data |
pd24_consenso_data |
Browser local storage | The date of your choice, shown next to the code. | Until you clear the site data |
The log of choices
The law does not only require consent to be collected: it requires being able to show that it was given. So when you press Accept or Decline, one line is sent to the site:
| What | Example |
|---|---|
| The random code | 8605def3-25be-43e9-9e45-7c7ba0bc08cf |
| The choice | accepted or rejected |
| The banner version | v2 |
| The date and time | 2026-10-17T08:02:01Z |
| The page you chose from | /en/landing-page (path only) |
There is nothing else. No name, no email, no phone number. The code is a random number your browser generates by itself: it leads back to no one. If one day you want to know what you chose, open the “Cookie preferences” panel, read the code and send it to me: I will look it up.
The line is sent only when you press a button, never when a page opens. If you change your mind from the panel, a new line is written and the previous one stays: the log is the history of your choices, not only the latest one.
One thing I have to tell you. The log sits on the servers of Netlify Inc., which hosts the site. I do not write your IP address anywhere, but Netlify records it in its own technical logs when the line arrives, as any web server does for any request. It is the same thing that already happens every time you open a page. (Netlify's privacy notice)
For how long. I keep the log lines for 24 months from the choice. That is the time needed to show a consent if someone disputes it, and it covers more than one banner renewal cycle; after that, the lines are deleted.
3. Measurement tools
They show how many people visit the website and which pages they read, in aggregate form. None of them starts before you consent.
| Tool | Provider | Status | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Google Ireland Ltd. | Active if you accept | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Microsoft Clarity (heatmaps and anonymous recordings of browsing sessions) | Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. | Active if you accept | privacy.microsoft.com |
4. Marketing tools
They measure the results of ads and link visits to contact requests. None of them starts before you consent.
| Tool | Provider | Status | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) | Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. | Active if you accept | facebook.com/privacy/policy |
| TikTok Pixel | TikTok Information Technologies UK Ltd. | In place, not active yet | tiktok.com/legal |
| LinkedIn Insight Tag | LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company | In place, not active yet | linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy |
| Pinterest Tag | Pinterest Europe Ltd. | In place, not active yet | policy.pinterest.com |
“Active if you accept” means exactly that. Until you press Accept, the code for these tools is on the website but stops by itself before loading anything: no request goes to Google, Microsoft, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn or Pinterest, and no cookie is written. If you decline, everything stays off and I won’t ask again.
“In place, not active yet” means the code is there but the identifier for my account is missing: even if you press Accept, those three do not start and write nothing. I will update this page the day I switch them on.
For Google I use Consent Mode v2: before anything loads at all, the browser is told that consent is denied for everything, and only after your Accept is it updated. If you decline, it stays denied.
What is measured besides page views. If you accept, these tools receive four events: opening a WhatsApp chat and which page it started from, completing the check, switching language, and the fact that you read three quarters of a page. They do not contain what you write and are not used to identify you.
5. External services loaded by the website
None, until you accept. When you open a page on this website, your browser only talks to the server that hosts it.
Fonts, images and background videos are copied onto that server. The fonts, in particular, do not come from Google Fonts: they are hosted here, because a request to Google's domain would pass your IP address to another company without you choosing anything.
The only connections to the outside are links that you have to click yourself: social networks, WhatsApp, and the websites of the bodies that issued my certificates. Until you open them, no requests are made.
6. How to give or withdraw consent
On your first visit a banner appears with two choices, Accept and Reject, given equal prominence. Until you choose, no measurement or marketing tool is loaded.
Rejecting does not limit your use of the website in any way: it works exactly the same.
To change your mind later, just use the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page of the website: it reopens the banner and you can choose again. Alternatively, you can clear the website's data in your browser settings.
7. What you can do in your browser
Regardless of this website, every browser lets you block or delete cookies and local storage:
Please note: blocking all cookies can stop many other websites from working properly, but not this one.
8. Controller and contacts
